Volunteers

The Salt City Mid-Winter Round-up is a celebration of sobriety for those in recovery, their families and friends.
A.A. & Al-ANON members grow with one another each year as we bring this miracle together for one weekend in February.

The Salt City Mid-Winter Roundup was established to bring together members of A.A. and Al-Anon from all over New York and the Northeast. (We now have people join us from all over the USA)

It is a convention that provides old-timers and newcomers with a look at recovery and what it can do for you.

It provides information about how recovery doesn’t just happen, that it is worked on.

It provides panels that show success and gives hope to those just coming in, while giving a
refresher to those who have “been around awhile” and to have fun at the same time. Our Alkathon gives an opportunity to meet with others 24/7 throughout the weekend.

We have a talent show for those in our fellowship’s that want to show us their gifts. We also provide live entertainment for your listening and dancing pleasure, and a banquet that includes our sobriety countdown, keynote speaker, and wonderful fellowship.

The Round-up planning committee works throughout the year to bring this weekend in February together. We meet on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 6pm. (No meetings in July & August)

Our meeting place is at the A.A. Service Center’s rear meeting room, 2513 James St., Syracuse, NY 13206.

We are always in need of volunteers to help out with each committee listed below.
